Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Present Days app and presentdays.app. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.
The service
Present Days is an iPhone app that helps you keep a streak of days spent under a daily screen-time limit you choose. It uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks to detect when your usage crosses your limit, marks each day as under or over, and shows your streak in the app and in a home screen widget. It does not block apps, and it never shows minutes used; Apple's frameworks do not expose that information to third-party apps.
Subscriptions and free trial
- Present Days requires a subscription after a 7-day free trial: $1.99 per week, $4.99 per month, or $19.99 per year (prices may vary by region and may change for new subscription periods with notice).
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account through the App Store. The trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple Account subscriptions.
- If your subscription lapses, the app keeps recording your daily verdicts on your device, but the app and widget lock and notifications pause until you resubscribe. Resubscribing restores your full history.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies; we cannot issue them directly.
Streaks and monitoring
Daily verdicts are derived from threshold events that iOS delivers to the app. This delivery is controlled by the operating system and is best-effort. By design of the product:
- If Screen Time permission is revoked or monitoring is otherwise broken for a day, that day counts as unmonitored and your streak ends. This strictness is what makes a streak mean something.
- The app counts the screen time of what you select during setup. If you select less than everything, your verdicts may be more lenient than the totals in Apple's Settings app.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free monitoring, and a streak shown in the app is not a certified measurement of your device usage.
Your license
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Present Days on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
Not medical advice
Present Days is a habit tool, not a medical or mental-health product. It makes no claims about treating any condition.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Present Days is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including a lost streak.
Apple
These terms are between you and the developer of Present Days, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for addressing claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also comply with the App Store Terms of Service.
Termination
You can stop using Present Days at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end the service, or these terms, if you breach them, with the protections required by law.
Changes
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we will update this page and the effective date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
